In common with most, if not all, engineering companies in this country are now facing one of the biggest problems in recruitment, as there is a plentiful supply of low skill workers and trying to find skilled workers is becoming harder and harder. It is with this in mind that we decided to set up our own in house training school. The idea being that we take new recruits and put them through a specially designed in house course to improve their skill level. This required the setting up of a study lecture room for the theoretical part of the course work, as well as areas witin the workshop for practical studies. This represented a large investment in both time and money for franklins but it will guarentee us a supply of well-trained, highly motivated, workers for years to come.
We can also now reveal that Franklin Silencer Ltd has received, from City & Guilds and Northampton College, the approval to train its personnel in house to a City & Guilds 3267 effectively, and making Franklins a satellite to Northampton College.
