Franklin's export achievements 14.10.07
In 1995 Franklin Silencers gained its first export order from Honda for delivery to Belgium. Since then the company has built up an envious direct export market of up to 19% of its overall sales during our last financial year-end 31st March 2007.
We can also boast that we have just received our third major order for silencers to be sent over to China for use in the manufacture of generator sets by Briggs & Stratton (Shanghai) Power Product Co. Ltd. Each consecutive order has grown in volume with the latest totalling 400 off in numbers. This probably makes us one of only a few manufacturing companies to actually export goods, made in England, into China.
Franklin's is also shipping work out of North American markets. Specialised stainless steel silencers being coupled to Edward's vacuum pumps in the USA. Also a number of very large silencers, measuring 610 mm diameter x 3300 mm long, for use in Canada on the air side of reciprocating compressors, with a future order being negotiated for the near future.

Another succes is for the capture of an ongoing order for the supply of exhaust systems to Deutz AG in Cologne, Germany. These are to be fitted to their latest series diesel engine.
Most of our customers also export their products with our exhaust systems being fitted. So in actual fact our merchandise is in affect being sent all over the world and could easily exceed 50% of our annual production.
